The Black Beast kitchen fit-out includes induction cooking, a microwave, and you have guessed it; a coffee machine!

What else you ask? We have added: – a road shower (to clean-up after the ‘mud bath’) – a pop-top roof conversion to sleep – solar panels – 3 x 120amp batteries – 4000w / 12o00w output inverter to run the home away from home 365 days of the year

We will definitely be doing a full write up on this rig soon.

This year the Black Beast will join the journey to the Big Red Bash… And just wait till you see what we’ve got planned! If you will be at the Big Red Bash this year, make sure you check out the Black Beast setup and grab a sticker!

Don’t have a ticket yet? What are you waiting for? With only 100 or so tickets still remaining, if the Bash is on your 2018 travel plans it’s time to get your tickets before they are sold out.

You’ve never had a better reason to get your family or friends together and head into the outback. Grab your camping gear, hook up the trailer or caravan or hire a tent. But don’t miss out on your chance to get down in the red dust at this fantastic all-ages Australian outback concert. Everyone’s invited. You can even bring your dog!

Don’t forget to add Club 4X4 insurance to your Pre-Touring Checklist to ensure that you are covered the whole way to the Big Red Bash and back.

For more info and to buy tickets visit the Big Red Bash Official Website.

Best LandCruiser Engine in 2026: Which One is Right for You?

The LandCruiser name has been earned the hard way, forged across Australia’s harshest tracks and most remote country. While the badge gets the recognition, it’s the engines that built the legacy. The best choice comes down to how you use your 4WD, whether that’s crossing the Simpson, towing a van up the coast, or running a reliable daily that’s ready for the weekend.

This guide runs through the 4x4 upgrades that genuinely changed how we travel, from suspension and GVM to recovery gear, storage, power and the little bits of kit you only fully appreciate when things go sideways.
